I am the owner and primary clinician of Brave Journeys Counseling. I am certified with CAMS-care, an evidence-based framework for working with suicidality. I primarily use ACT which teaches you to accept what you cannot change and live in a way that aligns and makes progress towards what is important to you. I am very collaborative in my approach, desiring input and feedback along the way. I would love to equip you with tools, practices, and resources, to help you on your journey. How soon will I know if the counseling or therapy is working?

We recommend that you give therapy at least six to eight sessions to determine if it is a good fit. That being said how quickly you notice a change in symptoms is complex. Your symptoms may vary from session to session. Overall you'll recognize observable changes: a shift in perception of challenges, decreased symptoms, heightened confidence, and progress toward your goals. Additionally, consistent reflection and feedback sessions with your therapist will help assess and track your healing journey.
